Trying out a new tub of moisturizer from the grocery store:
So far it’s doing the trick … I didn’t actually want NO fragrance when I picked it up at Safeway yesterday (I was hoping for a comforting food-y smell), but I didn’t feel comfortable standing in the aisle of the grocery store unscrewing bottles and jars of lotion sniffing them all to avoid getting something overpowering or toxic-smelling, yet I still wanted to try something I’ve never used before.
Even if I wasn’t exactly looking for unscented, I definitely appreciate having it around as an option for when I’m going to attend a fragrance-free meeting / space, or just don’t want to be overwhelmed myself by distracting or competing aromas.
The texture and appearance of this cream surprised me with a delightful shiny whipped lightness when I stuck my fingers into it last night after a bath, sharing the experience verbally on the phone with a gentleman I’ve known for over twenty years; he has a curiousity for these kinds of feminine products, and appreciated hearing about how I applied it liberally all over my nude body.
I’d forgotten we’d discussed lotion before; he’d wanted to acquire one of my signature body lotions to experience this aspect of my intimate life, but we weren’t able to negotiate a mutually agreeable price for me to send him a sample with him living overseas, the cost of shipping and packaging, etc.
